11 July - Day exploring Bilbao

Started the day at the Catedral de Santiago and received my first Pilgrim's Credential, a stamp in my pilgrim's passport. A special moment. Explored the markets - foodie heaven. Everything looked so fresh and delicious. Managed to get by with very basic Spanish ordering food and drink. Spent a big part of the day at the Guggenheim Museum which is amazing. Loved the architecture and outdoor sculptures, especially the aluminium tulips and "The Puppy" made out of 10,000 flowers. A perfect first day in Spain. Perfect weather - blue sky and 34 degrees.
