19 July - Güemes to Santander
Had an interesting stay at the albergue run by Father Ernesto and a team of volunteers. Just happened to be there on the day they were filming a documentary 🎬 We might feature in it 😀
Sunrise leaving the albergue in Güemes
The albergue runs on a donation basis from pilgrims -served lunch, dinner and breakfast. Lunch and dinner served with wine. There were pilgrims from 18 countries at the shared meal.

Started walking early in the day to try to beat the heat. The weather has been consistently sunny and hot, with cloudless skies 🌞
The coastline views today were the best we've seen on the Camino so far, large cliffs and big surf.
Beautiful countryside
At Sumo we got a ferry to Santander.
Has been an awesome day, pleased with how my Camino is going ... have met some super people, enjoying the food and culture and most importantly ... 8 days walking and no blisters!!
