29 July - Day in Santiago de Compostela
Today I explored Santiago de Compostela - old town. Sampled some gorgeous tapas. Visited the Cathedral and enjoyed watching pilgrims make their final steps into the Cathedral Square. Did a little spot of shopping.
Although the Cathedral is under maintenance and no Masses are being celebrated, you can still walk through, and hug the apostle St James. A special and very spiritual experience.

Sampled some of the best tapas in Spain.

Wiebe would have loved the hams!!
The evening ended with hearing that Wiebe's mum passed away peacefully in Hamilton, NZ.
