4 August - Aveiro day trip
Beautiful day in Aveiro, the Venice of Portugal just one hour on the train from Porto. Enjoyed a long lazy lunch followed by a canal ride.
These boats were initially used for collecting seaweed. We had a really good guide and skipper who spoke good English. Also had a good sense of humour.
Beautiful architecture, like Venice but without the crowds.
The old ceramics factory has been turned into the City Hall.
It seemed everyone was out enjoying the great weather on the weekend. The train was so packed on the return to Porto.

It's been another amazing day. Thanks to Bernie for discovering today's spot, apparently it's one of Porto's best kept secrets.

I've never heard of this town, it looks wonderful. Yet another place to add to my (very long) travel wish list.
